nicole + nick | PALACE HOTEL

Nicole and Nick’s wedding was the quintessential fairy-tale wedding. So, what better venue to host this gorgeous wedding than at one of the oldest hotels in San Francisco – The Palace Hotel.

Event design and coordinated by Taleen from Simple Little Details and photographed by Chung Li Photography, this wedding was the classic, ballroom, beautifully done – ‘over-the-top’ event that had every guest pleasantly stunned and reminiscing about their childhood fantasy wedding.

“The ballroom at the Palace Hotel has gorgeous ornate gold walls and crystal chandeliers, so we wanted to play off of that. To keep with the classic romantic aesthetic, the colors of the wedding were soft blush, ivory, and gold. … Asiel Design did a fabulous job on the florals, keeping a classic shape, but bringing in a gorgeous mix of roses and hydrangeas that had been hand spray painted with metallic gold.” Explained Taleen of Simple Little Details.

It was such a pleasure to work with Taleen and design the floral aspects of this wedding. The wedding ceremony started in the St. Gregory Armenian Church, which was stunning (slide 8). For this ballroom ceremony, we used Hydrangea, garden roses and stock as fillers to accentuate the opulent look and feel of this beautiful church. After the ceremony, the reception moved to the Palace Hotel. The gold leafing on the wall, the opulent design and sophisticated color scheme allowed us to create beautiful, dramatic centerpieces and bouquets that were show-stopping.

For the Bridal Bouquet, we kept with the color scheme of creams, golds, soft pinks/peach, white and lavender colors by using gold spray painted eucalyptus berries, garden roses, Ecuadorian roses and gardenias.

In the middle of the ballroom, they set the head table in front of the fireplace and elevated the centerpieces to add drama to this classic, romantic wedding. With candlelight, King’s table floral runners down the middle of the table, over-sized windows, ornate wall panels and tall guest centerpieces, this wedding was picture perfect!
